Tips For Finding The Best Phone Recording Devices
|
|
I never thought that I would be using phone recording devices. After all, I have never been a suspicious person, and I have always been a fierce proponent of free speech. Nonetheless, I found myself doing just that the other day. I plugged in a telephone recording device to my own home phone, set it up with the computer, and walked away as if nothing had happened. I didn't want to use the phone recording device, but I was at my wits end.
You see, I suspect that my wife has been cheating on me. I don't really have any firm evidence, but I can't afford to hire a private investigator. I figured that phone recording devices are the best solution possible. It took me a long time to get to the point where I would use a phone recording device. I don't think I would use one even today if it weren't so easy. If you have been using voice over IP, or VOIP as it is known for short, you know how easy it is to set up digital recording devices. There could be nothing easier! All of the phone data goes through the computer anyway, so all you need to do to set up the phone recording devices is run a program to log the call data.
Nonetheless, there are a few problems with this style of phone recording devices. For one thing, you have to have the computer on all the time. If it turns off without saving, you can lose all of your phone recording device data. It also uses up a lot of system resources, and if it is not hidden carefully, anyone who looks at your computer will know that you are using a phone recording device. This defeats the whole purpose of phone recording devices. If you cannot record phone calls clandestinely, why bother at all?
Nonetheless, I think my recording phone devices will work pretty well. My wife talks on the phone a lot, but I have actually upgraded my hard drive to be able to store all of the call on it. Not only do the phone recording devices store the conversation, they also store the numbers and the times of day as well. That way, if you want to listen to specific phone calls, you can easily do that. They almost made it too easy for me. I am regretting the decision already.
